Camiguin is said to be the Philippine's most beautiful island enriched with natural wonders and historical riches. A peaceful dreamland of lush rainforest, volcanic splendor, eternal hot and cold springs, majestic waterfalls, coral reefs, exotic marine life and pristine coastline. Do not be dissuaded by its remoteness, to both the adventurer and the urbandweller, Camiguin is paradise. The pear shaped volcanic island is located in Bohol sea, 120 km. south east of Cebu and 90 km. north of Cagayan de Oro City. It has a total land area of 239 sq. km; its circumferential road measures 64 km. To get to CAMIGUIN, one has to travel one and a half hours from Cagayan de Oro City to Balingoan, Misamis Oriental, and take any of the hourly scheduled ferries across the channels of Mindanao Sea, which dock in either ports of Guinsiliban or Benoni. |
